Located in a dedicated wing of a 72,100 square-foot facility in Wichita, Kansas, this self-contained unit features its own dining area, common areas, solarium, KetoFLEX kitchen, and private rooms. Designed by Dr. Sandison, the Center’s programming follows the Marama and Bredesen Protocols, with staff specifically trained in these methods to deliver scientifically-validated, individualized care.

All rooms at the Marama Kansas are private studio rooms, each approximately 300 square feet. They are specifically designed to be dementia-friendly, featuring easy navigation, calming decor, and a handicap-accessible bathroom with a walk-in shower. These features ensure both comfort and privacy for every resident, making the environment safe and supportive for individuals with dementia.

The Marama Kansas has its own kitchen dedicated to Bredesen-approved KetoFLEX food preparation. Menus are crafted by our dietitian following Marama and Bredesen protocols, with preparation overseen by the Certified Dietary Manager. Residents enjoy their meals in a private dining room, which promotes social enrichment within the Marama Kansas community. The food provided is specifically designed to improve cognitive health, focusing on a high-fat, low-carbohydrate diet that supports brain function and overall well-being.

Certified Medication Aides handle all medication management, under the direction of your medical care plan. We make sure you get precisely what you are prescribed, precisely when you should have it. 

We have a large pond with a dock and fountain, and amazing views. The Marama Kansas has its own solarium and courtyard where residents can enjoy the view of the pond. A walking path circles the entire campus, perfect for group or individual walks on nice days. 

Absolutely! We welcome visitors at all of our communities. To ensure convenient access, each family receives a unique door code. We do request that all visitors adhere to our safety and security guidelines.

Yes, many of our residents utilize Long-Term Care Insurance to cover their stay at Marama Kansas. We assist by providing the necessary documentation for reimbursement from your Long-Term Care Insurance provider. Marama Kansas is a licensed facility in the state of Kansas.

While we do not provide health or medical care at Marama Kansas, we offer residential care. Consequently, we do not bill Medicare or other health insurances. However, we can facilitate trips to medical appointments, such as doctors and dentists, or arrange home visits from physical therapists and other providers. Payments for these services are managed directly between the patient and the provider.

Yes, we welcome couples! Staying at Marama Kansas together allows both of you to benefit from our programs, including new routines in diet, exercise, and meditation. Both partners will need to be registered as residents, as we are licensed for 15 individuals.

We recommend a stay of 6-12 months. While improvements can typically be seen within 6 months, the duration may vary based on your prior at-home efforts. Remember, reversing memory loss takes time, as the condition develops over many years.

The monthly fee at Marama Kansas includes:

• A spacious room with an organic Avocado Green mattress and organic cotton bedding

• Round-the-clock care from trained caregivers
